Five Church Walk 2018 - Final Distribution

Five Church Walk 7/5/18 - Actual Distribution (report d/d 10/11/18 in Chilham Parish News).

I have to say that thanks to the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) which came into force on 25/5/18 & put great strain on parishes Gift Aid tax claims submitted by Diocesan House to HMRC, so our claim has only just been settled. This wasn’t caused by problems with our submission; & I believe that priority was rightly given to parishes’ monthly claims.

Next year we should be back to an August distribution, but I sent cheques for these amounts on 8/11/18:-

Chilham PCC £1,116 (£1,337)

Godmersham PCC £584 (£588)

Boughton Aluph PCC £910 (£1,029)

Challock PCC £882 (£884)

Molash PCC £774 (£855)

Kent Air Ambulance £953 (£1,104)

Pilgrims Hospices £991 (£1,099)

Total Distribution £6,210 (£6,896)

The apparent overall decrease from last year’s total is due to 2016 having been boosted (as I described in last year's report).

Next year’s walk will be Bank Holiday Monday, 6th May 2019 and will be clockwise (opposite to this year). Walkers can again support Kent Air Ambulance & Pilgrims Hospices as well as the participating churches. These all share in the administration charge deducted from the two charities for all the organization involved by each church..
