The beloved and longed for Five Church Walk will take place on 2nd May, Spring Bank Holiday Monday folks. It starts at any one of the churches at Chilham, Molash, Challock, Boughton Aluph and Godmersham. Walkers do their thing between 10.00 - 18.00 hours.

Walk is in aid of charity and will cost £5.00 for a donation. Last year £5,400+ was raised from 500 walkers. Refreshments will be available at each church: teas, coffees, cakes etc served by glamourous villagers renowned for their skills at baking and friendly service!

So, polish your walking boots, iron your shorts and buy your suncream ready for the big event.

Our reaction to this complimentary piece of extra publicity is that we are delighted by the optimistic forecast of sunny weather; there have been several years when its been extremely hot & dry, but a dull day is actually better for a long walk. Also the route is clearly guided by red arrows, so it's not really self guided. And refreshments include filled rolls & sandwiches etc. aimed at hungry walkers as well as cakes etc.
